The idea behind Lorena’s aesthetic vision is to collect the fragments of informed energy that are initially generated by human thought and then transformed by the ether into matter.
Her artistic research embraces the concept of immanence, where the sense of the divine neither transcends nor contemplates separation from the human.
The true limit of human understanding is the inability of our sense organs to perceive beyond the third dimension. For Lorena, what we see with our eyes is illusory. She herself lived with a congenital visual disorder for many years, the effect of which was that she developed all her other senses to a greater extent.
In her artwork, the intention is not to create an ecstatic high by seducing the sense of sight alone, but to stimulate the observer to “see” and “feel” the work using a “pineal” approach. The soul reads all the other energy layers of the canvas, placing the observer before a “Stargate” that projects the observer into the quantum universe, where among the infinite possibilities the observer can capture the energy that has been informed and turned into a subject by the artist and that materializes by collapsing into the work itself.
Approaching the work — first observing it with open eyes and then listening to it with closed eyes — activates one’s inner perception. A dance of frequencies takes place in the observer. The work lives in the mind of whoever is listening. This is the artist’s intention: to stimulate a further intellectual step that takes us beyond the illusion of what we believe to be real.
N.B.: Many of Lorena’s works have not been documented and/or photographed upon the request of the client. Since the work she creates is a metaphysical extension of the client, some clients choose not to make the work public. The work of art then becomes an intimate and private possession.
